COLLEGE HOCKEY

Students can choose to either play in the Whakatane local competition or the Bay of Plenty Hockey competition.

WHAKATANE  COMPETITION

• Local hockey games are played in Whakatane for all secondary students wanting to learn hockey, or those players and teams not wanting to travel and play in the BOP Secondary competition.
• Year 7-13 Players - games played on Wednesday or Friday Evening/Nights
• Players are required to wear suitable shoes for the turf, shin guards, mouthguards and team uniform.Teams should arrive at least 15 minutes before their game, to be ready to go onto the field at the scheduled time

BAY OF PLENTY HOCKEY​​​​​​​

• Teams  have home and away games at either Whakatane or Rotorua
• Games played Tuesday or Thursday Nights
• Game times are from 4pm onwards
• Schools set their fees for this competition
